The BistoCon Con Comm is considering a big move for 2024: we’re thinking about running BistoCon in back to back years to get it off of the same year that SHareCon occurs. We know that there is some overlap in the fandoms and that some people can only afford one fannish-based trip a year. You may recall that SHareCon ran back to back a few years before the pandemic but we ended up on the same year afterwards, so if a change will happen, it would be BistoCon making the change.
But it only makes sense to run a BistoCon next year, in 2024, if we know it will make a difference–if people will attend. So that’s where you come in. The BistoCon Con Comm
The BistoCon Committee would like to announce the return of our in person con dedicated to a full weekend of The Professionals. This con will take place at a hotel conveniently located at the Detroit Airport on August 4, 5, 6, 2023. Mark down the dates. We will be having panels, episode viewings and discussions, games, food, and fun.
We are starting to organise and will be posting more info as it becomes available. Also, please note we are returning to our regular schedule of an in person con every other year. Our next all virtual con will be in August, 2024.
Based on our survey results, BistoCon 2022 will take place virtually again this year on Friday, August 5th and Saturday, August 6th. We’ll post the schedule information as the con gets closer.
BistoCon is happening virtually for 2021! We will be hosting a FREE virtual BistoCon, scheduled for August 6-7. This is a lite version of our in person BistoCon. We will have panels, games, vid shows and a share your art meet up. There will be plenty of time for Bodie and Doyle chatting with a full time con suite and a separate panel room.
There will be a Friday evening gathering and an episode watch on the 6th. Saturday the 7th will have episodes, panels, songvids, and more.
Everything will be done through Zoom and Twitch. Concerned about Zoom or Twitch? Let us know if you need a chance to test and/or get help before the Friday start of the con and we will be happy to schedule an online real time test with you.
The schedule will be posted as soon as it’s finalized. Zoom links and Twitch information will be shared with registrants only a few days before the con.

However, there will be a Friday evening gathering and an episode watch on the 14th. Saturday the 15th will have episodes, panels, songvids, and more.
Everything will be done through Zoom and Twitch. Concerned about Zoom or Twitch? Friday evening is a chance to test and get help before the welcome party and episode watch. The full BistoCon, in all its glory, will return at a later date!

It is with heavy hearts that we have decided to cancel plans for BistoCon 2020 in August. We will miss seeing all Professionals fans who planned to gather then, but we think this decision is the best one at this time.
We have (optimistically?) rebooked our meeting space at the same hotel for Memorial Day weekend in 2021: May 28-30, 2021 is your new assembly date for BistoCon. This is a one-time change from August–we plan to keep BistoCon happening in August of even-numbered years, so that our convention will happen in alternation with SHarecon, for Starsky & Hutch fans (which is in odd-numbered years).
If you have already registered for BistoCon 2020, you have the choice of requesting a refund or telling us that you would prefer to have your registration rolled over to the May 2021 convention. You’ll get an email from bistoconmods@gmail.com that explains the process, so you don’t have to take action at this time.
